Having traveled the world and shared the stage and/or recorded with icons such as Johnny Cash, Reba McEntire, Willie Nelson, Michael McDonald Band, Joe Williams, George Benson, etc., Rick DePiro (aka Ricky Dee) has performed more than 2500 concerts in over 450 cities worldwide as a jazz pianist, organist, keyboardist and music director. As a singer-songwriter he can be heard often on Country radio stations across the nation and is widely respected as one of Country music's hottest new acts.

Rick is the co-founder and co-owner of JaRic Records and Entertainment, a Los Angeles based Record Label with a new office location and studio in Nashville. The JaRic Records current artist-partner list includes Jazz vocal-sensation (and sister) Jacki DePiro, and Smooth Jazz star Freddie Ravel. He is also a writer and producer for several other acts in Country music, Jazz, A/C etc and recently signed his talents on to the I-AM Workshop – a California based, national non-profit music touring and educational program to benefit young artists afflicted with the perils of substance abuse in the music industry.

 

He has performed at the White House twice by private invitation of the President.

 

He and his co-artist-partners have an extensive World Tour planned for the 2009-2010 concert season. He holds a documented repertoire of over 22,000 songs and is member of Mensa with a verified IQ of 165.

 

Rick has dozens of National TV and Movie credits to his name including appearances on NBC’s “Las Vegas”, Breaking Bonaduce, Inside Edition, CNN, Days of Our Lives, a CD distribution deal and Solo featured-Artist appearances on QVC, an appearance in the 2009 Movie release of Once Fallen with

Ed Harris, Peter Weller, Dennis Hopper and Brian Presley, more than 100 regional and cable TV appearances, and has written several songs for jingles, television and Film  etc etc..

 

He and his JaRic Records co-artists and owners are all in the process of recording and releasing 4 new CDs in 2009 as well as a Reality television show based on their record label and careers including his latest all-original Country CD, “This Is My Country” and an all-star celebrity Christmas CD.

 

In addition to his formal education from Daemon College, Akron University and a scholarship to Eastman, Rick has had the good fortune of studying privately with and/or being mentored by several legendary Musicians and personal friends including Don Costa, Oscar Petersen, Carlo Annibale, Frank Leone and Michael Boddicker.


Born in Ohio, educated in NY and now residing for over 18 years in the Los Angeles area, Rick and his Nashville based Country band, as well as his LA based Jazz trio, have performed all over the world.

 

Rick is one of less than 20 professional Pianists/keyboardists nationwide endorsed by the Roland Corporation – the world’s leader in electronic musical instruments - whose diverse list includes Artists such as David Benoit, Brian Culbertson, Marcus Johnson, Freddie Ravel, Lisa Harriton, Daniel Powter and child sensation Mark Yu.
